You might recognize Frank Polo as a dedicated community leader deeply invested in the well-being of our neighborhoods. He’s known for his unwavering stance against corruption, never shying away from speaking truth to power. Frank is the type of person who doesn’t mince words, especially when it comes to calling out corruption within our court system, political parties, or government. Despite facing criticism from those threatened by his transparency, Frank remains steadfast in his commitment to fighting for integrity and accountability in our society.

Frank Polo’s journey, much like yours, mine, and that of our neighbors, is one of resilience, determination, and a commitment to making a difference. Polo In Cuba

Frank Polo was born in Camagüey, Cuba, on February 8, 1972. But, he grew up in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

At the age of eight, Frank Polo experienced the Mariel Exodus firsthand, sparking his awareness of injustices within the Cuban system. This ignited a lifelong passion for law and order, prompting him to explore ways to prevent abuse and advocate for the oppressed from an early age.

Since turning 18, Frank has faced persecution, harassment, and reprisals from the Cuban government. At 22, he endured a four-day imprisonment as retaliation after his parents sought permission to visit the USA. These experiences compelled him to risk his life rather than surrender his dignity to the Cuban dictatorship.

The Escape to Freedom

At 22, Frank embarked on a daring journey, escaping Cuba on a makeshift raft. However, his journey was interrupted when he was intercepted by the U.S. Coast Guard near the United States and taken to Guantanamo Bay (“GITMO“). Despite the setback, Frank saw an opportunity to prepare for success in America. He dedicated his ten-month confinement at GITMO to learning English, even serving as a translator for the U.S. Military. It was his unwavering attitude and determination during this time that laid the groundwork for his eventual arrival in the United States.

The Arrival in The United States

In the USA, he became a Cisco and Microsoft System Engineer. His knowledge of Voice Over IP opened the path to owning a business in telecommunication between 2006 and 2013. Thereafter, he obtained an associate degree in Computer Science, which he had abandoned many years before. Additionally, he got a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Miami Dade College and later studied law at St. Thomas University.

The Path Against Corruption

Despite his successes, Frank remained committed to his fight against injustices. He pursued a law degree at the University of St. Thomas, aiming for a doctorate and specializing in Tax Law. Utilizing his legal expertise, he participated in the VITA program sponsored by the IRS, offering assistance to the community. Frank’s firsthand experience with corruption within the Family Court System only strengthened his resolve. During his time at St. Thomas, he decided to enter politics in 2018, with a mission to combat corruption within the Family Court System.

Entering politics, Frank Polo recognized the pivotal role Congress plays in addressing societal issues. He discovered a significant connection between politics and corruption, motivating him to utilize his experiences for the benefit of all. Frank envisions a community where individuals can raise their children without fear of government interference. He is committed to leveraging his expertise to create positive change and foster a society where everyone can thrive.

As a father, husband, and member of our community, Frank Polo is driven by several key priorities. These include safeguarding the family unit, upholding constitutional rights, and combating abuses of discretion within family courts. He is deeply committed to advocating for the well-being of senior citizens and veterans, ensuring access to quality education, strengthening border protection, and promoting fair and legal immigration practices. Above all, Frank is dedicated to fighting for a just society where every individual’s rights and dignity are respected.

Frank possesses a unique understanding of the Cuban infiltration in South Florida, recognizing the pervasive presence of Cuban intelligence services in Miami-Dade and across the United States. Aware of the threat this poses to national security, Frank is determined to serve his community by thwarting further infiltration by foreign intelligence agents. With a steadfast commitment to preserving freedoms, Frank Polo stands ready and willing to combat this threat and safeguard the security of our nation.

Frank Polo is a devoted father to twin children, actively participating in school events and sports, and cherishing every moment with his family. Together with his wife, whom he married in 2013, they navigate life’s ups and downs, sharing in household responsibilities and creating cherished memories through movie nights, karaoke sessions, and dining experiences. Like many couples, Frank and his wife support each other through thick and thin, embracing the joys and challenges of parenthood and partnership.

The Community Leader

Frank Polo’s journey of service began with humble beginnings as a busboy at the Hyatt Hotel, Miami Downtown, and later as a bartender at the Grand Bay Club in Key Biscayne in Key Biscayne. However, it was his transition to social work that truly ignited his passion for community service. Through programs like Welfare to Work and the Cuban Refugee program, Frank had the opportunity to directly impact the lives of individuals and families in need. His time as a social worker instilled in him a deep appreciation for the value of giving back to the community, a principle he continues to uphold through his ongoing dedication to serving others.

During his time at St. Thomas University’s Tax Clinic, Frank Polo actively assisted low-income families and individuals, aiding them in resolving IRS-related issues. Additionally, he contributed to preparing taxes for low-income families as part of the VITA IRS program, further demonstrating his dedication to supporting those in need.

For several years, Frank Polo served as the treasurer of the Miami Kingdom Lion Club, where he played an instrumental role in various charitable initiatives. Working with the Lions Club, he provided aid to victims of natural disasters such as hurricanes, including those in the Bahamas. Frank also actively participated in organizing Toys Drives to benefit sick and disadvantaged children. Furthermore, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he contributed to food distribution efforts across Dade County, offering assistance to the most vulnerable members of the community. Through his involvement in these activities, Frank demonstrated his commitment to serving and supporting those in need.

Frank will participate in the next 2024 elections as a candidate for the U.S. Congress in District 27th, State of Florida.
